QUESTION OF ACCESS COMMITTEE APPOINTED (British Official Wireless.) (Received January 23, 11 a.m.) RUGBY, January 22. On the motion of the British delegate, a proposal for the setting up of a committee to consider the question of access to raw materials will come before the present meeting of the Council of the League of Nations at Geneva.' The composition of the committee has not yet been settled, but the resolution on this subject was passed by the League Assembly various Governments, including nonmember States, have been sounded. It is stated in Geneva that the United States, Japan, and Brazil have decided to send their experts in connection with the inquiry. Italy's attitude towards the committee is still in doubt,, but in Geneva today it was stated that Germany had declined to take part.
