NEW ROYAL CIPHER APPROVED BY THE KING The new Royal Cipher, which has been approved by King George VI, was issued by the Garter King of Arms last' month. It consists of the letters G and R intertwined at the foot with the Koman figures VI between them. They are surmounted by the Crown. The Cipher used throughout King George V'S reign was "G.V.R.," and the Duke of Windsor had approved the Cipher "E.V111.R."
