Dr. E. L. Marchant returned to Wellington yesterday after attending the Medical Conference in Auckland. Mr. A. W. McNicol, the general manager of the Union Bank of Australia, Ltd., who has been visiting the South Island during the past few days, ex- , peels to return to Wellington on Tuesday next. He will leave Wellington again on January 28 for the, north, and after visiting various branches j t will sail from Auckland for Sydney r on February 5. J' Mr. E. P. Meachen, M.P. for Wairau, is a visitor to Wellington. I The Minister of Public Works (the Hon. R. Semple) will leave Wellington C on Tuesday afternoon on a tour of 'the Manawatu, Palmerston North, and Rangitikei electorates. The Minister of Internal Affairs (the Hon. W. E. Parry) left Wellington yesterday afternoon for Coromandel, where he will attend the celebration of the county's diamond jubilee. c The Minister of Railways (the Hon. D. G. Sullivan) will leave Wellington on Wednesday on a tour of Picton, Nel- , son, Wcstport, and Greymouth. The Attorney-General (the Hon. H. G. R. Mason), who is at present in c Auckland, will return to Wellington on Tuesday morning. Mr. F. T. H. Bell arrived in Wellington from the south this morning. Mr. W. N.
