EDEN AND BLUM
PARIS DISCUSSION
HIGHLY SATISFACTORY (BrltHh Official Wireless.) (Received January 22, 11 a.m.) RUGBY, January 21. After dining with the Premier, M. Blum, and Sir George Clerk in Paris, the Foreign Secretary (Mr. Anthony Eden) travelled by night train to Geneva. It is stated in Paris that the conversation, covering points of outstanding interest in the international situation, had been highly satisfactory. LONDON, January 20. The Rome correspondent of "The Times" says Mr. Eden's speech in opening the debate on foreign affairs in the House of Commons generally created a good impression. It is admitted to have been constructive and pacific, but there is some surprise that he addressed himself to Germany without paying any attention also to Russia.
