HUTT POWER BOARD
An increase of receipts from power sales was shown in the report of the secretary (Mr. H. E. Mcßain) to (he meeting of the Hutt Valley Electric Power Board yesterday afternoon, the period covered being from April 1 to December 31, the figures for the same period the previous year being in parentheses:—Availability rate, domestic liehting, heatins, and cooking. "£49,370 10s 9d (£51.662 Is 7d: commercial lighting, £9382 15s 4d (£9154 16s 4d); water heating, £8170 Is £>d (£7891 6s 10d); oublic lighting, £3810 Is lid (£3719 18s sd; power, £21,433 4s Id (£17.901 6s Id); totals, less discounts, £83,987 7s 5d (£77,978 7 :), The increase amounts to £6009 0s sd. It was decided to donate £25 to the Wellington Free Ambulance.
