HOKITIKA, January 21,
The funeral of Mr. William Jeffries, who was killed in the rail-car accir dent, took place this morning and was attended -by a very representative gathering from all parts of the West Coast, including members of local bodies of which Mr. Jeffries was a prominent member. The condition of those in hospital is showing much improvement. Mr. W. D. Mackay is now almost oif the seriously ill list.
