APPEAL FOR SPANISH
CHILDREN
In addition to the money donated to the appeal on behalf of the Spanish children, already published, the headquarters of the New Zealand Red Cross Society is forwarding by the s.s. Port Alma six cases of new garments which have been made or purchased by the various centres of the society. Wellington centre has sent 1 case, Canterbury centre three coses, Hawke's Bay centre two cases. Substantial parcels also have been sent from Auckland, Blenheim, Upper Hutt, and an anonymous donor at Foxton. The cash donations received have been expended in the purchase of blankets, which were especially asked for by the League of Red Cross Societies. Further donations will be welcomed and gratefully acknowledged.
