"CHINA" TEA

A delightful "china tea" was given by Mrs. William Arcus recently at the residence of Mrs. J. L. Arcus, 112 Hataitai Road, in honour of the marriage of Miss Sallie Percival. Mrs. W. Arcus wore a floral navy and red sillc afternoon frock, and Mrs. J. L. Arcus a model gown of navy wool georgette, and the guest of honour a green and lemon ensemble. The rooms were charmingly decorated with bowls of gladioli, hydrangeas, and sweet peas. A dainty afternoon tea was served in the lounge, after which Miss Percival opened a variety of useful gifts. Among those present were Mrs. Percival (sen.), Mrs. Sarten, Mrs. Irion, Mrs. Dod Coates, Mrs. Miller, Mrs. Jack Percival, Mrs. Young, Mrs. R. Savage, and Miss Jean Daniels.
