SEARCH BY POLICE
PREMISES IN CITY TWO MEN BEFORE COURT A police search of premises at 182 Wakefield Street, occupied by the Tui Bottling Co., in the early hours of this morning resulted in James Harrington, a factory hand, aged 25, and Donald Thomas Bell, a storeman, aged 20, appearing in the Magistrate's Court today before Messrs. J. H. Luxford and J. Morling, S.M.s, charged with breaking and entering the warehouse of the company and stealing liquor valued at £1. The men were remanded to appear on January 27, and bail was allowed in the sum of £50, with one surety of that amount or two of £25 each. Sub* Inspector J. A. Dempsey conducted the prosecution. The liquor alleged to have been stolen was bottled beer. Shortly before 4 a.m. today it became apparent to a constable on beat duty that there was someone in the warehouse. The building _ was surrounded and entered, and alleged that both men were found inside.
