STATE MINERS
WORK UNDER PROTEST
(By Telegraph—Press Association.) GREYMOUTH, January 2. The State Miners' Union, which has a dispute with the Department concerning non-payment for the King's Birthday holiday, and members of which consequently did not work on two days before the holidays, decided today at a meeting to resume work after the holidays under protest. The Minister of Mines (the Hon, P. C. Webb) advised that Cabinet would consider the matter.
