BUTTER AND CHEESE THjE LONDON MARKETS The Primary Products Marketing Department supplies the following cabled information,dated January 2, to the Dairy Board:—London, January 2: Butter market firm. New Zealand S4s to 95s per cwt. salted, and 97s to 98s unsalted, Danish, spot 108s to 110s. Retail price. New Zealand butter, Is per I lb. Australian salted butter same as New Zealand. The cheese market has an improved demand at a reduced price. New Zealand white and coloured are quoted at 57s to 58s, a decline of 3s per cwt. on the week. Canadian is quoted at 70s to 72s for white and coloured. New Zealand cheese is selling retail at 8d per lb. English farmers' cheese is quoted at 86s to 88s, and English factory cheese 52s to 60s.
