SAFER FLYING
INDIAN'S INVENTION LONDON, January 1. Ail Indian, Phiroze Nazir, who holds the Government of India's Aeronautical Researcn Scholarship, has invented a wing device which the aeronautical correspondent of "The Times" considers will greatly contribute to the safety of flying, especially in landing. The device opens a slot in the afterpart of the wing some distance from the trailing edge when the flap is depressed. This results in the creation ol air circulation about the after-part of the wing. The invention also delays stalling up to remarkable angles of incidence.
