GREAT INCREASE
CANADIAN OVERSEAS TRADE IN 1936 (Received January 2, 10 a.m.) OTTAWA, January 1. The Finance Minister, Mr. Charles Dunning, reviewing conditions in Canada at the end of the year, indicated an increase of.over 200,000,000 dollars in Canada's external trade, which is a "primary factor infusing strength and vigour into our national life." The increase in exports was the most significant feature of recovery in 1936.
