AUSTRALIA TO N.Z.
MR. LYONS'S BROADCAST CANBERRA, January 1. The Prime Minister, Mr. J. A. Lyons, in a broadcast last night to New Zealand, said: "The future of the two countries is bound together by ties which we cannot undo —ties of mutual interest. The frontier dividing the two countries is the broad Tasman Sea—a frontier of friendship. I speak to people who honour and love the same King and whose ancestors came from the same place as ours. I send a message of good will to New Zealand. May our blood relations across the Tasman enjoy the best of good fortune in the coming year."
