DUKE TOASTS KING
PARTY AT ENZESFELD
(Received January 2, 9 a.m.) VIENNA, January 1. At Enzesfeld Castle the Duke oi tVindsor attended Baron de Rothschild's New Year party. In accordance with Austrian tradition, when midnight chimed a chimney sweep carrying a sucking pig, an emblem of good luck, appeared, and presented the pig to every guest, who secretly framed a wish while holding the pig. As Austrian time is an hour ahead of Greenwich time, the Duke was later able to listen in to Big Ben announcing 1937 in London. Immediately after midnight the Duke gave the toast, "His Majesty King George," which all present at the party drank. • Over 6000 letters reached the Dukeof Windsor on New Year's Eve.
