"KITCHEN TEA"
An enjoyable "kitchen tea" was given by Mrs. Marshall S. Mackie, Lower HutOin honour of Miss Irene E. Mackie, who is to be married shortly. The rooms looked charming with bowls of Iceland poppies, sweetpeas, and marigolds. The hostess wore pink floral crepe and the guest of honour wore blue linen. . A pleasant afternoon was spent in competitions and musical items, and after tea the bride-elect opened numerous and useful gifts. Among those present were Mesdames Parlett, Jamieson, Mackie, Watt, Anderson, Key. Jorgensen, Sivell, and Misses Pope, Dell, ' Key, Watt, and Anderson.
