PICTON REGATTA HOME CLUB'S SUCCESS Early morning fog at Picton yesterday gave place later to sunshine, and the annual rowing regatta was held in smooth water and excellent rowing weather. The Picton Club was the most successful, gaining three firsts, two seconds, and three thirds. Next came Blenheim with two firsts, three seconds, and one third, Star with two firsts, two seconds, and two thirds, Wellington with two firsts, and Wairau with two seconds and two thirds. Arapawa made only one start, and was unplaced in that race. There was a large attendance of the public, including many people from Wellington, and the standard of rowing was good. Messrs. G. J. Riddell. Roy Smith,'and V. Olsson were the judges, Mr. G. A. Smith the umpire, Mr. A. A. Whiting the starter, and Mr. Cecil Peek the timekeeper. The president. Mr. G. J.
