CHRISTMAS RINKS
The "Wellington Bowling Centre was unfortunate with the weather conditions existing during the Chnstmaa week and the post-section play in the Christmas rinks had to be postponed until after the championship tournament is completed. Post-section play, should have been reached on Wednesday, but play was impossible on Monday and consequently the section play lasted until Wednesday evening. The rain on Thursday stopped play again and it was agreed that the tournament should be concluded on New Years Day, but the rain that fell yesterday caused another postponement, Witft the championship games so near it would not have been wise to play 05 the greens today.
SOUTHLAND TOURNAMENT (By Telegraph—Press Association.) INVERCARGILL, This Day. The final of the singles champion, ship at the Southland Bowline Centre a New Year tournament was played ye* terday evening and was won by A. V, Keast (North End), who defeated Z Hickey (Edendale), by 17 to 16.
