CHRISTMAS DANCE

The "33" Club concluded its serie* of very cheery dances which it has held at intervals throughout the year with a Christmas dance at the Mayfair Cabaret on Saturday night. Both dance rooms were crowded, and in addition to the scintillating "33's" used for decorations at each of the club's dances, there were festoons of streamers and Chinese lanterns hanging overhead. Clusters of multi-coloured balloons were tied to the pillars, and paper caps and noisy novelties were distributed among the dancers, so that the general effect was very festive. Refreshments were served in both supper rooms.

The dance was organised by the following social committee: Messrs. Theo. H. Ashton, V. Schumacher, N. Edgar, M. Sanderson, W. R. Kemball, jun., L. Browne, W. Hannah, J. Brown, M.' Toomey (treasurer), and R. M. Stewart (secretary).

The proceeds were in aid of the club's benevolent fund.
