Friday's closing prices for the following raw materials were as follows, those for December 11 being shown in parentheses:— Cotton. —Liverpool quotation, good American middling, spot, 6.88 d a lb (6.93 d); January delivery, 6.88 d a lb (same).
Rubber.—Para. 13d a lb (13Jd); plantation smoked, ribbed sheet, 9 15-16 d a lb (9 l-8d). Jute. —December-January shipment, Indian jute. Dundee quotation, £19 2s 6d a ton (£l9).
Copra.—January-February shipment. South Sea to London or Rotterdam, £21 15s a ton (£2O ss); smoked, Marseilles or Genoa. £21 15s a ton (£2O ss); plantation, Rabaul to London or Rotterdam, £21 15s a ton (£2l ss). . Linseed Oil.—£3o 5s a ton (£2B ss). Turpentine.—43s 9d a cwt (4.1s 9d).
