WHEAT SITUATION
SHORTAGE UNLIKELY
(By Telegraph-

LONDON, December 20,
There is no likelihood of a shortage of wheat. Official estimates of the Argentine crop are slightly bearish. The indicated crop is 31,000,000 quarters, compared with 17.000,000 last year. Reports from the America winter wheat belt are also more favourable, but the drought remains serious on the Pacific north-west slope.
The summing up of general opinion is that the peak has not yet been reached.
