The welfare officer guve a comprehensive report of the montn's activities, indicating the progress made by the society in linking up with numerous other bodies connected with welfare Arrangements are to be made for placing collection boxes m suitable places: and it was decided to support a suggestion that a National Cripples Day be held next year for the purpose of raising funds to carry, on the work of the' dnl'erent local societies. • Gifts of books were acknowledged from Mr. H. Nathan, Mr. C. Sander, and the Wellington Returned Soldiers AsSoArrangements were made for the handing over to the Wellington Hospftal Board and the Education Board the special furniture provided by the society for the education of children at the Wellington Hospital. . The necessity for further contributions to the society was.stressed and a campaign for funds is to be inaugurated next year.
