MARRIAGE AT 61
"I answered a matrimonial inquiry three years ago. We were both 61. I said that I would not like to marry a man who came home drunk. He said I would have nothing to fear from that. We got married," said a complainant in the Magistrate's Court yesterday in an action for separation and maintenance. "He began to drink. He gradually got worse. He started mauling me. On one occasion he caught mo by the nose and said he would pull it off, if I said lie was drunk," continued the complainant. She admitted in cross-examination that she desired a separation in order to apply for an old-age pension. The husband said that he was 64 years of age and was anxious to have his wife back. An order for separation and maintenance at the rate of 10s per week was made by Mr. H. P. Lawry, S.M.
