FOR PALMERSTON NORTH
, The pacers Glorietta and Effle Parrish will accompany Harold Logan to Palmerston North next month, and while he is entertaining the crowds in parts of the North Island with exhibitions of pacing, Erne Parrish and Glorietta will be contenders for some of the good stakes that are available in' the New Year. Erne Parrish is a three-year-old by Guy Parrish,. from Lady Effle, and showed good form at Gamaru last May, when she ran second to Superior Rank in a mile and a half contest. Later she won over a mile and a quarter at Hutt Park. ■ Glorietta is by Brigand from Miss Carriewood. She is a fast pacer, but in her early races she was very nervous. She has made improvement with experience, and now has sufficient confidence to enable her to produce her private form with the colours up.
