THE CORONATION
OFFICIAL PROGRAMME
His Majesty's Trade Commissioner has been informed that his Majesty the King has graciously accorded permission for the official souvenir programme of his Coronation to be prepared by King George's Jubilee Trust. Among other items the programme will contain a special message from his Majesty to the Empire and the full text of the Coronation service. The principal and indeed unique object in view in producing this official programme is to enable his Majesty's subjects throughout the world to follow the broadcast of the Coronation service from Westminster Abbey on May 12 word for word.
The programme will, therefore, be distributed.throughout his Majesty's Dominions, Crown Colonies, and Mandated Territories in advance of Coronation day. Distribution is being arranged, in the first place through the ordinary trade channels.
The proceeds of the sale of the programme will be devoted to the Trust, and a short description of its work included will' be in the programme. The price has been kept as low as possible consistent with the desirability of providing a souvenir programme worthy of the occasion.
