INCREASED BUSINESS

EXCESS OF DEPOSITS

Five months' experience of the current financial year indicates that the business of the Post and Telegraph Department is showing substantial improvement on the previous year's period, stated the Postmaster-General (the Hon. F. Jones) to a "Post" representative today. "The total revenue for the five months," said Mr. Jones, "was £1,546,014, showing an increase over the corresponding five months of 1935 of £107,155.
