A WAIKATO PROSPECT
Treasure Bond, who is engaged in the principal events at the Waikato Meeting on Saturday, is a consistent pacer by Rey de Oro—Waipiro. Although he won only one race last season, the Stratford Handicap at Hawera, in which he established a' course record of 3min 20 4-ssec, Treasure Bond had the unenviable experience of being six times second at two miles. At Westport he was defeated by Belle Derby on the first day, and by Broughshane, full-brother to Rey Spec, on the second day, while Mystery Yet beat him at Reefton.
