ENTHUSIASTIC WELCOME
(British Official Wireless.) (Received September 21, 11 a.m.) RUGBY, September 20. The train with a special saloon car in which the King travelled north last night reached Ballater Station at 8.30 this morning. A guard of honour was mounted by the First Battalion of the Malvern Highlanders. A large crowd cheered his Majesty and the Duke of York when they drove off to Balmoral. When the train halted at Aberdeen crowds which had come in the hope of catching sight of the King cheered enthusiastically when he and • his brother descended to the platform in Highland dress and acknowledged their greetings.
