THEFT OF £7lO
CHILDREN'S COURT APPEARANCE
A steward, aged 16 years and 9 months, one of the two concerned in the theft of £7lO in money, letters of credit, and a bank draft from the steward's cabin of the Ran/jftane during her recent trip to Wellington, came before Mr. J. H. Luxford, S.M., in the Children's Court today for sentence. The matter was adojurned for two months (until November 14), an offer that the boy should leave here on the steamer Hertford this month was approved, and the Court expressed the intention of dismissing the case if this was carried out.
