REPLACING THE MATUA (By Telegraph—Press Association.) , AUCKLAND, This Day. Two steamers to replace the Matua, which met with a mishap at Cook Islands on Wednesday, are being dispatched by the Union Company. The Watchlin liner Port Whangarei leaves at 4 o'clock this afternoon for Tonga. The company's own steamer, the Waipahi, arrived from Gisborne this morning and sails for Apia and Suva on Tuesday. Both vessels will return to Auckland with fruit. The Matua is due at Auckland on September 27.
