METHODIST B.C.U. CLUB
The annual meeting of the Methodist Bible Class Union Tennis Club, held at the Taranaki Street Bible Class rooms, was presided over by Mr. W. E. Howe (president), there being aii attendance of 32 members and intending members. The annual report and accounts as circulated to members was adopted without dissent. Much enthusiasm was displayed, and everything points to a most successful and happy season. Subscriptions for the ensuing season were fixed, and it was decided to retain, affiliation with the Lawn Tennis League. Officers were elected as follows: Patron, the Rev. P. Paris; president, Mr. W. E. Howe (re-elected); vice-pre-sidents, Mrs. O. E. Burton, the Rev. J. Richards, Miss E. Paul (ex officio), Mr. E. L. Howe; captain, Mr. C. N. Smith (re-elected); vice-captain, Miss L. Young (re-elected); secretary, Mr. R. Gaustad (re-elected); treasurer, Mr. T. Lowis; committee, Miss D. Plumridge, Mr. D. O. Walker. Mr. .Ray Richards; auditor, Mr. J.-.H. Gaustad (re-elected). The official opening for the season was set down for October 3, weather permitting.
