FORTY-HOUR WEEK
PETROL STORE WORKERS The Arbitration Court has made ah order for a 40-hour week of five days in factories occupied by petrol companies. 1 The following exceptions are, however, made:r— (a) Work may be performed on the morning of the statutory half-holiday where it is found necessary ■■ to load or unload products,' provided the nuriiber of workers so employed shall not exceed the number required for that purpose, (b) When necessary for the, purpose of finishing loading or unloading of petroleum products, workers may be employed for not more than five hours without an interval of three-quarters of an hour for a meal. The order was made with the consent of the representatives of the oil companies.
