RELIGIOUS SERVICES. LECTURE ON BIBLE TRUTH. (God Willing). ; 0.0. F. HALL, ALLEN STREET •• (Opp. Paramount, Courtenay Place), SUNDAY AT 7 p.m. Subject: "WHAT SALVATION REALLY IS" WILL THE SAINTS REIGN ON EARTH? In the course of this lecture evidence will be produced from the Scriptures to show (1) THAT the doctrine of the immortality o£ the soul and Heaven-going at death are both "fables" disproved by the whole-tenor of Bible teaching. (2 Tim. 4:34, 2 These. 2:11, John, 3:13, John 13:33, Acts 2:34.) (2) THAT the. Bible clearly teaches that man by nature -is mortal, and when dead knows nothing. (Gen. 2:17, Gen. 3:22, Roms. 5:12, I Cor.' 15:53, lsa. 2:22, lsa. 40:6, Ecc. 9:5, Fsa. 6:5, I'm. 115:17, Psa. 146:4.) (3) THAT therefore THE RESURRECTION OF THE DEAD (to occur at the second coining of Christ) is an absolute necessity in order that the accepted believer may receive the salvation promised. (Luke 14:14, I Thess. 4:16, Rev. 31:18, Dan. 12:2, John 5:28-29, 2 Tim. 4:6-8, Matt. 16:27, Matt. 25:31-46.) (4) THAT the believer in then receiving salvation will not exist throughout eternity as a disembodied immortal soul but will become as Jesus became after His resurrection possessed of-an immortal, incorruptible physical body. (1 Cor. 15:50-54, Phil. 3:20-21, Roms. : 8:11, I John 3:2, .Roms. 6:5, Luke 24:36-46, I Cor. 15:20-23, Luke 20:36.) (5) THAT then as immortals "equal unto the Angels" (Luke 20:36) the redeemed will "REIGN ON THE EARTH" (Rev. 5:9-10) by becoming Christ's co-rulers in the righteous administration of the universal KING- ! DOM OF GOD to be established on earth bv Christ at His second coming. (Rev. 20:6, Rev. 5:9-10, Rev. 2:26, I Cor. 6:2, 2 Tim. 2:12, Matt. 25:34, Luke 12:32, Dan. 7:18, 22, 27, lsa. 32:1, Matt. 6:10, Rev. 11:15, Acts 17:31.) Questions Invited. No collection.
