WAIRARAPA VALUES.

Wright, Stephenson, and Co., Ltd., report that at the Masterton sale yesterday ewes with lambs at :foot and store Sheep met a firm; demand, although 'competition' "was not particularly keen. Fat sheep were easier, and there was also an easing: tendency' in fat cattle, .while springing .heifers and cows met a dragging market. Pigs made late rates. A medium yarding of sheep and a fair entry of cattle were offered .to a large attendance, making the following realisations:—' Sheep.—Ewes with 100 per cent, of lambs at foot, 16s sd, all counted; ewes, r.w. Southdown ram, 24s 6d; fat wethers, to 33s lOd; fat hoggets, to 30f 9d; maiden fat two-tooth ewes, to 28s; fat b.f. ewes, to 28s 6d; fat ewes, to 28s; woolly ewe hoggets, to 27s 6d. Cattle: Fat P.A. heifers, to £9 10s; fat P.A. cows, £7 14s to £8 10s; fat Hereford cows. £8 10s to £8 17s; fat and forward Hereford cows, £7 to £7 6s; forward cows, to £5 17s 6d; forward empty dairy heifers, to £3 Is; fat dairy cows, to £4 9s; store cows, 27s to 40s. Pigs: Good weaners, 20s to 21s; medium weaners, 17s to 19s 6d; small weaners, T3s to 16s 6d; slips. 23s to 265; porkers, to 38s 6d; sow with litter, to £4. Dalgety and Co., Ltd., entered a medium entry of stock, making the following values: — Sheep.—Light fat ewes, 255; prime Eat awes, 27s 3d; Cattle: Backward waiving dairy cows, £3 10s to £4 2s 3d; springing heifers, £5; store dairy :ows, £2 6s. Pigs: Small weanerSj 13s 3d to 15s; weaners, 16s to 18s. The Farmers' Distributing Company jffered a good yarding of sheep, eflfectng a clearance at the following prices: Fat wethers, 34s lid; f. and f. ,w.w. aoggets, 24s Gd; fat ewes, 18s 3d to SOs; fat Southdown wethers, 34s 3d; southdown hoggets, 24s 2d to 24s 3d; ;wo-tooth wethers, 31s 3d; m.a. Southlown ewes, 20s; w.w. hoggets, 20s to !6s; b.f. two-tooths, 25s to 265; shorn j.f. two-tooths, 20s.
