HUTT VALLEY COMMITTEE

The newly-elected management committee of the Hutt Valley Cricket Association met this week. Mr. C. Wrack was re-elected chairman, several old members paying tribute to the manner in which he had conducted the meetings in the past. Asked for a ruling regarding the position of a representative of the Hutt Valley Umpires'. Association on the management committee, Mr. Wrack said there was no rule, but it was a recognised fact that in almost every other association a delegate.from an umpires' association served on the' management committee, with power to vote and speak on anything other than financial matters. . *. A motion was carried inviting the Umpires' Association to appoint a delegate to the H.V.C.A/s .management committee meetings. Jones)/ reported that he and Mr. J.-F. May had attended the annual general meeting • of the Wellington Cricket Association as the H.V.C.A.'s delegates. Mr. J. F. May was re-elected recording secretary, and Messrs. J. E. Boult, J. Wilson, and J. Sharpe selectors for the 1936-37 season. The following attended the meeting: Messrs C Wrack, J. F. May, W. P. Cate, J. Wilson, C. Elliott, J. Verrall, J. Sutherland, W. McDonna, J Sharpe, H. A. Cullimore, and H. N. Jones (secretary). ■
