MANUKAU CONTEST
TWO CANDIDATES
STRAIGHT-OUT FIGHT

AUCKLAND, September 16.
Two candidates have been nominated for the contest in; the Manukau by-election, which is to be held on September 30.
When nominations closed at noon today, the returning officer had received Ihe nominations of F. W. Doidge and A. G. Osborne.
There will thus be a clear-cut contest between representatives of the New Zealand National Party and the New Zealand Labour Party.
