CUMMING—BURNS

The wedding was solemnised recently at St. David's Church,; Petone, of Isabel Rose t daughter .of Mrs. H. Burns, Petone, to John, second son of Mr. and Mrs. J; Cumming, also of Petone. The Rev. G. C. Loan officiated. Mr. Horace Burridge was best man, and Miss Christine Cumming the bridesmaid.

The bride, who was escorted by Mr. H. Isaac, wore a charming frock of silver lame. cut oh classical lines and joining a train at the back. .Her veil, which was of tulle, was held in place by a silver halo and she carried a sheaf of cream lilies. The bridesmaid wore a frock of pink silk stiffened net, with a very full skirt, and trimmed with a deeper shade of pink flowers. Her hat was of pink silk net and flowers, and she carried.an arm shower of shaded pink sweet peas and cyclamen with maidenheir fern. On leaving the church, the bride was presented with a silver horseshoe by little Grace Cox.

The reception was held at the Petone Tennis Club's pavilion, where the guests were received by the bridegroom's mother, who wore black georgette with hat to match and carried a posy of scarlet ,flowers. . ;

The bride and bridegroom left later for a motor tour of the North. Island.
