Germany welcomes Mr. Firo\l/'s statement. Official quarters declare that Germany holds that it Is in' the interests of all that as many nations as possible should participate in (colonisation, and regards the colonial problem as a matter of justice and .fairness. Mr. Pirow's suggestion that (J Germany should be compensated with c<:her territory is admissible only if suuh territory is habitable and of equiil value to her former colonies, of which Germany was unjustly deprived.
