Pirow, Minister of Defence, who has just relumed from London, stated:— "Most influential .quarteijs in Britain are agreed that there cvm he no permanent basis for a peace! ul agreement with Germany unless the Germans are given adequate compensation for their colonies, meaning territorial compensation, not «juiy where on the face of the globe, but in Africa." /. He added, that lie fouij.d much support for the view that Germany's co-operation in Africa was 'vital for the maintenance of white civilisai tion.
