Following the bombing of Constable Milne's house at Geelong, Edward Carr, of Chilwell, gave his consent to the withdrawal of a writ against Milne, from whom Carr claimed £1000 damages for alleged false imprisonment, malicious arrest, and prosecution last January on a charge of being an idle and disorderly person
