BOXING ON MONDAY.
Amateur Preliminaries.
An outstanding programme of amateur preliminaries has been arranged in connection with the professional boxing contest between Billy Aitken (Wellington) and Clarrie Rayner (Blenheim), which is to be staged in the Wellington Town Hall on Monday night. Such local favourites as Watson. Hedberg, Cameron, and Reid will be in action, and they will be opposed by opposition capable of exending them to the utmost. Each of the preliminaries will be over four two-minute rounds. The matchings are as follows:— Featherweight: T. Hansen (Tracy's) v. I Watson (Miramar). LightweightE. Adams (Miramar) v. W. Hedberg (Hansen's). Welterweight: R. Sunnex (Berhampnrp) v. W. Luddori (Newtown/ Middleweight: R. Cameron (Miramart v J Heatherinsjton (Tracy's). Heavyweight: R Reid (N~wtownl v J Jon^s (Mir=>mar).
