At the meeting of the Racing Conference last week .the ■ Egmont Racing Club objected.to the application of the Bay of.lslands Racing Club to have May 12 substituted for November 14 for the meeting to be held af Pukekohe. The president, Mr. .1. S. McLeod, said the Egmont Club could have no justification in objecting, and the application was granted. An impressive gallop at Hastings last Saturday was done by Agog, who, though he had only a light weight up, ran seven furlongs on the trial grass lin Imin 30isec. This Cape HornVigilance five-year-old is due to race at the Hawke's Bay Hunt Meeting next Saturday.

The annual report and balancesheet of the Southland Racing Club reveal that the profit from the three meetings during the season totalled £2064 Is Bd, an increase of £1106 15s 4d over last year's return. On the year's working there was a profit of £1291 4s lOd, as against a profit of £154 17s 2d last year and a loss of £555 6s 3d in \1934. The amount of tax paid to the Government was £4185 14s.
