TELEGRAPH OFFICES

SATURDAY CLOSING HOUR

Commencing on Saturday, the telegraph offices, Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch, Dunedin, Wanganui, New Plymouth, Palmerston North, Gistaorne, Hastings, Invercargill, Westport, Greymouth, Timaru, and Masterton, which for some years past have remained open until 9 p.m. on Saturdays, will be closed for business at 8 p.m. on Saturdays.

The 8 p.m. to 9 p.m. attendance at these offices was brought into operation as a temporary measure during the period of the Great War, but as the traffic handled does not now warrant the additional attendance, the Department has decided to revert to the 8 p.m. closing. ,

The hours' of attendance observed from Mondays to Fridays, inclusive, will not be affected.
