CASES AT AUCKLAND

A THIRD OFFENDER

AUCKLAND, This Day. Two motorists appeared before Mr W. R. McKean, S.M., in the Police Court this morning charged with being intoxicated while in charge of their cars.

Stanley King Walker pleaded guilty to his third offence of the kind. The police said that his car crashed into a shop and Walker drove off and crashed into the verandah of a house. Later the accused fell on his head and had to go to hospital.

. Walker, it was stated, had been fined £20 in 1926°and £10, and had his licence cancelled for two years in 1929. The Magistrate .today imposed a fine of £10 and cancelled his licence for five years.

LtJCKY TO BE ALIVE.

The other accused, Albert James Bredersen, who agreed with the Magistrate that he was lucky to be alive after his car somersaulted and turned over twice, was fined £10 and his licence was cancelled for three years.
