HENKEL INDISPOSED

DOUBTFUL STARTER

DAVIS CUP CONTEST

(Received July 15, noon.)

LONDON, July 14.

Mr. A. Wallis Myers, writing in the "Daily Telegraph," says: "I understand there is some doubt as to whether H. Henkel will be available to play for Germany against Australia in the final of the Davis Cup challenge round. He caught a severe chill on his way to London from Zagreb and has been confined to his bed since his arrival.

"G. von Cramm has completely recovered from the strain he received in the Wimbledon final. In view Of Henkel's indisposition, and in order to give the Germans as long as possible before nominating their team, the Australians, it is understood, have agreed to postpone the draw until Thursday."
