The report- and balance-sheet to be presented at the annual meeting of members of the Canterbury Park Trotting Club on Thursday next shows a profit of £327 ss' 4d on the year's working. During the year the club distributed £6055 in stakes, which was an increase of £160 over the previous year, and paid £3929 17s 8d to the Government by way of taxation. The clubs share of the repairs and maintenance to the Addington course was £222 3s 2<3, and its portion of the rent of the premises was £227 7s Id. The sum of £214 12s was given to various causes, and the sum of £527 was written off the plant by way of depreciation. The expenses incurred in conducting race meetings amounted to £1199 19s lOd. For its three meetings, the club received £1438 15s in nomination and acceptance fees, and > members contributed £188 in subscriptions. TOTE REVENUE. The gross revenue from the "totalisator was £9290 4s, and the receipts from ? tanas» gates, and privileges amounted to £2202 0s 9d.
