PETONE'S DOGS
Dogs at large in Jackson Street have been a frequent cause of comment at meetings of the Petone Borough Council, but a very active dog catcher has been appointed, and there is now less cause for complaint. From June 9 to last Saturday evening 73 dogs were impounded, and of these 39.were returned, 26 were destroyed in the lethal chamber, and 8 are still impounded.
