BUSINESS FOR SYNOD

AUCKLAND, This Day.

Many questions affecting the. Maori race will be discussed-at.the annual ministerial synod of the Methodist Maori Church,, which will begin tomorrow. All Maori tribes associated with the Methodist Church will be represented. The chairman will be the Bey. Robert. Tahupotiki Haddon. :

Some, of the remits challenge educational methods, both State and Church. Others advocate a simpler and more practical course of study and more attention to ethics and religion. Others concern Maori health and the relation oC land questions to the welfare, ■health, character, and religion of Maori tribes.'' ' ■ ■ •

Thirty-nine Maori ministers and hoitie missioners will attend, and all the business will be conducted in Maori.

The reports show an actual membership of over 4000. with an attendance at worship of-.14,320. '
