PETONE CYCLING CLUB

The Petone Cycling Club held a 25----mile invitation race from the Petone lowing sheds to Quinn'sPost and back, on Saturday afternoon, in fine weather. The-claim was made that C. Biggs (virtual, scratch) again broke what is believed to be.the .English record. Riding on his own throughout the journey he averaged over 25 miles per hour, his time for the whole journey being-59min 30 3-ssec. Keighley and H. Biggs (4min) rode a very good race. The result was: H. Kent (Stain), 64min 15 2-ssec, 1; A. Cook (9min), 64min 17 3-ssec, 2; H. Biggs (4min), 60min 38 2-ssec, 3. Fastest times: C. Biggs, 59min 30 3-ssec, 1; H. Biggs, GO mm 38 2-ssec,. 2; W. Keighley, 60min 39sec, 3.
