FINAL DAY FASHIONS
LARGE CROWDS ATTEND
Frocking was definitely brighter at Trentham on Saturday, the clear sunshine making it possible for tailleurs and attractive jacket suits to be seen without the fur capes and coats which only made their appearance towards late afternoon. It was a successful day from every point of view, and there was a noticeable spirit of cheerfulness abroad in the large attendance. Watching the crowds on the stands and around the totalisator it was im-poss-'ble not to mark the predominance of red in all its tints, from brightest scarlet, which was seen in hats and accessories; often allied with navy blue, to the deepest burgundy shades which made 'so rich a background for furs.
